First 5 Notes provides free practice for the first five notes of a band instrument and optional paid full-range modules. By using it you agree to these terms.
Use of the app
The first five notes are free for personal, educational use and require no account. A parent account is required only for website purchases and restoring those website purchases in another browser or on iOS. See our Privacy page. Don’t misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, or copy its content for redistribution.
Not a substitute for a teacher
The app offers practice feedback, not instruction. Pitch detection is approximate and can be affected by room noise and device microphones. Always follow your band director or teacher’s guidance, especially on embouchure, posture, and instrument care.
Content
Fingering diagrams and exercises are original to First 5 Notes. All content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
Purchases
Notes beyond the first five can be unlocked with a one-time website purchase through Stripe or an eligible in-app purchase through Apple. Website purchases belong to the signed-in parent account. App Store purchases remain governed by Apple and can be restored separately. Prices and the content included are shown before confirmation.
